A message for our loyal customers and supporters of Boilerhouse Gallery. As a result of the situation with the coronavirus, yesterday we put our heads together, metaphorically speaking (a few phones were involved!) and made some difficult decisions about what to do. It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to close the Gallery to prevent the spread of the virus. This was not an easy decision to make but we feel it is the most sensible thing to do to in the light of government advice to protect you, our visitors, and ourselves.
Sadly, for the same reasons as above, all hands on Boilerhouse Gallery teaching courses have also been postponed for the foreseeable future including our ‘Hey Clay’ raku demonstrations.
We really hope that our art and craft will continue to bring joy through these challenging times. We would find it difficult to stop producing it and we hope that you will continue to support our little community of independent artists so we’re still here when we come out the other side. We wouldn’t be here without your past support. We’re hatching plans for more of an online presence plus a local delivery service so watch this space.
Please contact individual artists if you are interested in viewing their work, bearing in mind some artists have more vulnerable family members to consider. We will make sure our website has contact information over the next few days – in the meantime you can of course use firstname.lastname@example.org
Stay safe – take care and we will look forward to returning with a bang as soon as we can!
